IVANA AND VALTER will give you a warm welcome to their delightful flats comfortably
furnished with a large kitchen
very relaxing bedrooms, where you will
find the tranquillity you are looking for
after a day spent strolling in the Langhe.
 


 


The kitchen, very well equipped, is large and has a sunny balcony where you can get tanned while enjoying the view of the valley. You can grill your meat and eat in the garden. There is a private parking. In the library you will find books written in Italian and in other foreign languages about the local history and traditions to turn your staying into
a pleasant discovery of these hills and their treasures.

In the summer and autumn season plenty of festivals, exhibitions, concerts and traditional games are organized. We will be glad to accompany you to a wine-tasting in the family cellar and talk to you about your holiday
planning just to make your staying unique.

Typical piedmontese, with very simple
ingredients put together with ability
and creativeness to make a magnificent
selection of starters made with seasonal vegetables, salami and meat. Ravioli, tajarin, minestroni, gnocchi and risotti
are among the delicious first courses.
White and red meat, game, top quality cheese are at their best with excellent wines which enhance every flavour. Last but not least the worldwide celebrated WHITE TRUFFLE OF ALBA known for its delicate but intense perfume which turns every dish into a king’s favourite.

World-famous class wines are
born in these lands , among
them the two most important
BAROLO and BARBARESCO. You can enjoy all their delightful
nuances and test their quality while visiting the wine cellars guided by the experience and zeal of the vinegrowers and the enoteche specialized in fine wines.

such as fairs, markets, wine-and food tasting walks, the international White Truffle Fair, Cheese, Vinum and
dozens of village festivals with traditional games and lots of
good food and wine..

SPORTS


You can simply walk or take a bicycle, ride a horse up and down the hills following the paths which take to tiny villages and go through fairy woods and vineyards. TENNIS COURTS, GOLF COURSES, SWIMMING POOLS AND RIDING SCHOOLS available.
SEASIDE AND MOUNTAIN SPORTS are only an hour’s drive from the Barolo hills.

On top of the magnificent hills you will admire castles and palaces from our prestigious past full of lands and people. The Savoy Kings, the politician Camillo Benso di Cavour, Napoleon Bonaparte and before them The Romans whose many traces you will find.

Enclosed by the mountainous alpine scenery , the Langhe hills offer the tourist a charming landscape every season with a variety of different colours, shapes
and a feeling of peace and harmony.
You can relax or either walk in the very beautiful woods, one hour from the Ligurian Sea.

We are in MONFORTE D’ALBA, a nice village with 2,000 inhabitants, in the heart of the BAROLO region, 15 km from ALBA. Our house is 800 metres from the centre in a secluded corner surrounded by woods and vineyards.
MONFORTE D’ALBA has one of the finest medieval historical centres, and in the most recent area you will spend some lovely time enjoying yourselves and relaxing drinking a good glass of wine in a vineria, sipping a cappuccino
in a bar or having a delicious meal in a restaurant.
